How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Flood

Following the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami, debris was carried out into the Pacific ocean by receding waters. Today, this same debris continues to wash ashore along the North American coastline. By preparing for an equally devastating event, we would aim to turn a tragedy into a lifeline by utilizing the currents inherent to the North Sea to distribute the archives as beacons of British film among neighboring and distant coastlines.

Our goal is to preserve and share British films by not only showing films on-site, but by also anticipating tidal flooding and utilizing ocean currents to distribute our archives throughout the world - after it has flooded.
